What Is A DC-DC Converter

DC-DC converter is a switching power supply chip, which refers to the use of capacitance, inductor energy storage characteristics, through controllable switching (MOSFET, etc.) for high-frequency switching action, the input of electrical energy stored in the capacitor (induction), when the switch is disconnected, the electric energy is released to the load to provide energy. The power or voltage capability of its output is related to the duty cycle (the ratio of the on-time of the switch to the cycle of the entire switch). Switching power supplies can be used for step-up and step-down.
